OUR TEAM
Jamie Purewal, MA, Founder/CEO
While my growing up years were spent riding horses in Colorado, my professional career centered around nonprofit, executive leadership. I served as Executive Director and CEO for various organizations with a personal goal to empower individual realization and development, foster team growth and transformation, and propel organizational community impact. In 2012 I began working in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning and became an Eagala certified Equine Specialist. I furthered my training in horsemanship, completed Fundamentals training in Natural Lifemanship, finished my Masters in Leadership with an emphasis in Professional Coaching and started training in Psychodynamic Equine Assisted Trauma Therapy (PEATT). I am consistently amazed at how all the pieces of my professional and personal endeavors have come together in the profound work of equine assisted therapy.
Veronica Conley, LCSW
I received my bachelor’s degree in Natural Horsemanship with a minor in Psychology and then went on to obtain my master’s degree in Social Work with a Certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work.
I am credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and am very passionate about bringing animals, specifically horses, into the therapeutic environment. I was first exposed to Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) in 2005 and in 2008 began avidly pursuing training and experience in the field. I have seen many lives changed by facilitating the healing process with horses and humans, so much so that providing EAP has become my life’s mission. I have experience working with, and enjoy helping, individuals and families who have experienced trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression and major life transitions.
